Carole James, A Political Masterstroke and the FINAL NAIL In the BC Liberal`s Coffin

Yes indeed, Carole James has shown her brave spirit once again,  in her announcement that she IS running again for the NDP in Beacon Hill.... That announcement proves that Carole James is a true leader and team player, a woman of the highest caliber who wants to and will make a difference in Government....

I take my hat off and congratulate you Carole James, yes, no one was a bigger critic of Carole James than The Straight Goods.....But this move by Carole and the NDP is liquid gold, seriously, no bull, here are some of the dynamics, the leader of the BC Green party Jane Sterk had counted on Carole James resigning from politics and not running, last month Jane Sterk announced she would be running in Beacon Hill(she was pulling an Elizabeth May)..Sterk figured she could capitalize on Carole`s departure, well...So much for that idea Jane!...Jane Sterk will be running elsewhere, Carole James has that riding in the bag....But, that is only a small detail on the political scene....The biggest problem with Carole James staying on and running is not with the NDP, it affects the hapless BC Liberals like you wouldn`t believe....

Christy cluck cluck Clark in the few question periods she attended in the legislature(this year)...Attacked the NDP in partisan statements, Clark attacked the NDP with cries about the big bad NDP boys dumping a FEMALE leader, that argument is gone! period, for I do have access to internal polling numbers and Carole James is a shoe-in for Cabinet minister once the NDP take power, Carole James has a real chance of making a difference, and...And if Carole James wasn`t positive the NDP could form Government she would have resigned with her full pension...Carole James wants to be a cabinet minister, Carole James deserves to be a cabinet minister...The BC Liberals are freaking out!...And I mean really freaking out, Christy Crunch Clark is running around like a chicken with its head cut off...

Clark doesn`t know what to do, she is going to lose the HST referendum, the budget numbers are bleeding red ink, job losses continue to mount in BC...John Cummins is gaining strength as is Adrian Dix and the NDP..And...

And with Carole James putting on a united face will bring back Carole James fans and the few disgruntled NDP voters who felt betrayed... On stage, united, a solid winning team,....There will be John Horgan, Adrian Dix and Carole James, Energy minister, Premier and Minister of Education standing together united and as Government...

The BC Liberal campaign planners had an entire scheme planned to paint the NDP as woman haters and a male-based party, they had already counted on Carole James hanging up her political career, it is very rare indeed that any leader that got removed from power stays on, this exception to the rule was a political masterstroke, Christy Clark`s election campaign strategy/plan is now gone, caput, .....It was a Carole James/NDP political masterstroke and another Christy Crunch Clark death nail, her coffin is almost sealed shut....And the problems for the BC Liberals have only just begun, besides the HST loss, besides John Cummins, besides a Government that no one trusts, besides the fact that the Liberal brand is toxic across Canada...Clark has MLA and Cabinent minister problems...People like Terry Lake are toast in an early election, Don Mcrae of Comox valley is done, Ida Chong is done, Murray Coell is done, as is Thorthwaite, Kash Heed and Donna Barnett...But these players and more, they don`t want an election, many haven`t earned any pensions(YET) and theoretically those newbies could collect pay cheques until May 2013....Christy Clark is risking their future on her ego....Clark doesn`t live in the real world, she is shielded from the public and has surrounded herself with a motley crew of washed up personalities and amateur card readers....Christy Clark is clueless to the real anger out there, and everyday that goes by more and more people are turned off by Clark, even horn-dog males after seeing the pre-plastic surgery photos of Clark are turning away...And her biggest problem is with female voters, they see right through bimbo Clark and ..

And females aren`t too thrilled that their males partners would vote with their penis....The dynamics are incredible, Crispy Crunch Clark is in a race with the clock, only one problem with that, the numbers right now have a big NDP majority, as budget numbers come out, hydro increases, ferry increases, not honouring the HST referendum, cuts to education, more health care cuts, gaming revenue down, employment down and no friends in Ottawa...The Shipbuilding contracts are going to Quebec, Newfoundland and Ontario ...That is where Harper needs support and....

As I reported before, "How many Gordon Campbell loyalists are there, or more importantly how many Christy Clark loyalists are there"snip....With what Baldrey wrote in the Burnaby now, now the auditor General gunning after BC Rail, her snubbing of Gordon Campbell, Gordo a vindictive man who would take great pleasure in seeing Christy Clark fail, ....There is no BC Liberal unity...Barry Penner refuses to listen and take orders, Blair Leckstrom and his Boston Bruins are leaving for greener pastures, Leckstrom is a lock for the BC Conservatives in the Peace river riding, and he`s not alone....

Yes indeed, Carole James has just changed the entire dynamic of the next BC general election...And there is so much more, Christy Clark`s Ontario Liberal team are gone, they WILL be voted out of office, it has nothing to do with Hudak and the Ontario Conservative party, Dalton McGuinty is going down over the HST and HIS GREEN ENERGY ACT...Ontario people are bleeding badly from skyrocketing hydro rates...McGuinty is done...

There is a time and place for everything, including the HST, if the BC Government brought the tax in when the world was booming as was Canada...But that was then and this is now, for everyone knows who caused the world meltdown, not teachers or cops, not nurses and bus drivers, Wall Street crooks, crooked bankers, crooked rating agencies, the rich multi-millionaire banks and corporations through fraudulent securities and derivatives robbed the world, and when their ponzi scheme fell apart, Governments around the world buckled to their clout and forfeited future generations to bail out the thieves, ....Oil companies keep recording record profits as do banks, meanwhile wages are flat, stealth taxation everywhere, Canadians drowning in debt, and then the BC LIBERAL Government pre-election lied about our massive deficits, lied about revenue forecasts, lied about new taxation, lied about  the HST, they cut, they slashed and hid behind corrupt courts, hid behind hired mouth pieces, hid from the truth and to this day the lies haven`t stopped....

Timing is everything and the HST ain`t gonna be bought by BCers, and when the HST is defeated in the referendum, if Kevin Falcon and Clark remove the PST exemptions anyway, or threaten to remove exemptions...Well, can you say 2001 election in reverse, 83 NDPers, independents and Conservatives...  And 2  lonely BC Liberal MLAs...

Good luck Christy Clucking Clark, maybe you can use your Federal Liberal clout to advance your career?....Never mind!

That was also a very bad move by Christy in appointing Pamela Martin to a $130,000 a year job + expenses as "Outreach Worker". What the hell is that anyways? Just more of the same BC Liberal rewarding of insider friends and cronies. Christy is again proving that she is just Gordo in pearls and heels but unfortunatley without the same smarts. Oh if only Gordo had used his brain for doing good things for the people of BC.

STFU or she won't call the election. She can just hang on for 3 more years.

She ain't that good looking either. You want a babe in politics look at the President of Argentina.

Hey Seth(Mark)...That was classy...

I already wrote in past posts that Christy Crunch may become Canada`s longest serving unelected premier..

However, she has no mandate, your right Seth, she may not call a general election until 2013.

But that comes with risk, the BC budget is bleeding cash, employment down, another worldwide corporate driven recession coming(here already).

Education negotiations upcoming, paramedics, teachers, doctors, cops,...

The longer she waits the worse it will get, and...

And you`ll like this one, Crispy Crunch`s ego is so large, she can`t help but pull the trigger, Cluck cluck knows she can return to CKNW and or get employed elsewhere, the fun will quickly vanish and Clark will commit political suicide...

Anyway Seth, you are welcome here but...

Please refrain from telling me to STFU, it looks bad on you(considering you are a energy power generation expert) and..

I love to rant!

Good Day

High commissioner to Britain?

(from today's Globe and Mail)

Former B.C. premier to become Ottawa’s man in London

The Canadian Press has learned the Harper government plans to appoint former British Columbia premier Gordon Campbell as Canada's new high commissioner to Britain.

Mr. Campbell's elevation to one of Canada's highest diplomatic posts comes after he resignation last fall. The Liberal premier's popularity plunged after he introduced the 12-per-cent harmonized sales tax.

Christy Clark presses Harper to reform – and expand – the Senate.

British Columbia is being shortchanged in Ottawa, Christy Clark says – and she wants as many as 10 more senators and seven additional MPs for her province to reflect its growing economic muscle.

The rookie Premier is in Ottawa Thursday to meet with Prime Minister Stephen Harper. And she’s wading right into the controversial debate over democratic reform.

Christy Clark: "Maybe they could add seven or 10 senators for British Columbia without having to change the Constitution."

Yes, she actually said that.

It looks like she's already looking for a Harper goodie before getting booted out.

I`m glad Harper gave Gordo a job, it`s a win win, a win for the NDP both Federal and Provincial..

As for Crispy Clark demanding senators, good luck with that, not only do the public want the Senate removed, they don`t want more cushy patronage appointments made, regardless of what Province they represent.

You must remember this, Campbell is a dirty rotten criminal, but he was a smart criminal and he knows you don`t burn your Political allies, Crispy Crunch Clark has disparaged Gordon Campbell, she refuses to even mention his name, he`s vindictive, stubborn..

And he knows about revenge, Crispy Clark is unelected, and her`s the big one...

Stephen Harper will not waste any political capital on a unelected Christy Clark and the BC Liberals when soon they will be out of power!

Harper will be nursing Quebec/Ontario and Newfoundland....And, Harper wants to see the Federal Liberal party eradicated right out of existence..

Can you say Paul Martin/Chretian/Christy Clark/Bruce Clark/Mark Marrisen/Brad Zubyk.

Harper is vengeful too...

This is really getting fun, too bad so many innocent Canadians will pay a price for these games.

I was so happy when I heard that Carole has decided to stay on for another run. She really is the type of public servant that this province needs.

On the Gordo appointment...CKNW`s Gord MacDonald asked for callers about the Campbell appointment..

The Segmant and calls were at about ..4:40 to 4:50...Every caller was disgusted with the appointment...

1 caller said..."I wonder if it`s because the auditor general is looking into BC Rail scandal, how convenient, Campbell will be out of the country"

The next caller said,.."Canada is getting revenge against Britain for selling us those defective submarines"

Another caller called Campbell names, dishonest, undeserving, other callers were extremely disappointed with Stephen Harper....

Harper screwed up....All is good and BCers are disgusted that a corrupt Gordon Campbell is still sucking from the public trough..

Cheers

Just when you think the government cannot screw up any more eh !

Canada will rue the day they appointed Campbell as High Commisioner to UK. With his record of lies, deceit, dishonesty, fopul temper and drinking problem - we have a winner.

Only in Canada can a criminal get appointments like this.

Thanks

One very angry and disgusted BC pensioner.

I totally agree that the announcement by Carole James to continue on as a candidate and member of the BC NDP Party is a major boost to the NDP's fortunes going forward. As a leader, she maxed out her impact after the 2005 election. She was a foil to Gordon Campbell's arrogance, but that offered only a limited upside.

The NDP should have been able to supplant the Liberals in the 2009 election but history showed that something was missing. For my money it boils down to a gender issue, which will not sit well with a lot of people, but facts are facts. There are still a good number of males that do not believe that females are equals and will never support them when the chips are down. I suspect that this is especially true of those that lean to the right side of the political spectrum which may be a problem that Christy Clark and the BC Liberal Party may soon find out. Whether it be the business world or politics, the fairer sex has faced an uphill battle to gain credibility, and there is nothing I see that indicates that things have changed.

Back to the premise of this article, Carole James still has plenty of things to offer to both her constituents and the citizens of BC overall. She has a compassion for the less fortunate and more than enough political experience to make a positive difference for many British Columbians. Her announcement also cuts the legs out from the MSM commentators who only championed her after she was forced to resign.

For the NDP this looks like a win-win situation. For the Liberals, not so much.

One man's opinion.

And Then the Province newspaper has the gall to put this on their editorial page

http://www.theprovince.com/news/Editorial+must+failed+politicians/4998978/story.

She doesn't fall into the same catagory as the other two, she is basically APPLYING FOR A JOB while the others are given theirs and are pigs at the trough. Shame on the Province rag

The stfu was meant tongue in cheek sorry you took it the wrong way. I want Christy to think she is the best premier ever, that all men dream about her incredible beauty, and everybody loves the her first and the BCLiberal party second - polls not withstanding.

Then maybe fingers crossed she'll call an election!!!

Just one of those weeks Seth...I know where your heart is...

Look, everything I write about, the polling numbers, Christy`s fading election win chances...The BC Liberals know everything I say on that matter is true...

It`s not like I`m giving the Liberals the inside track...I`m only debunking the Christy Clark popularity myth for the public...

But, I know your comments, your expertise in the field of energy generation costs, that comment wasn`t your usual style...

Leave the gutter for me...

After all...

I thrive there.
