Another Major Petroleum Pipeline Spill In Alberta, 17000 Barrels(2, 700,000 litres) almost 3 million litres spilled

Estimate of Seal Field petroleum spill now 17,000 barrels

"About 17,000 barrels of petroleum product spilled into the muskeg at Murphy Oil’s heavy oil operations in the Seal Field 80 kilometres southeast of Peace River.
The company reported a much smaller spill Friday (about 87 barrels) of condensate. But over the weekend, the leaks at three spots along a pipeline were discovered to be much larger.
The leaks of natural gas condensate “occurred over an extended period of time” and the company is still trying to determine details, says the release.
“The extent and duration of the release is subject of ongoing assessment,” says the company release."

"The spill occurred in a remote area and the company is using boreholes to test if subsurface layers have been affected.
The company provided no details of how a cleanup will be done in the remote forested area, or how the leaking pipeline was discovered.
The AER says it is up to the company to devise a cleanup plan."
Let us not forget about all these other unreported pipeline spills in Alberta, the below list all occurred in a one month period.

Pipelines, fracking and bitumen, major issues in BC`s civic elections and our top-notch sleuthing media has gone silent..

Nothing from Global B.C.....nothing from CTV..nothing from CKNW, even though I sent the links to CKNW news tips, and to Shane Woodford...Sent this information to Mike Eckord

Still nothing, if this isn`t proof of a corrupted corporate bought media I don`t know what is..

Keith Baldrey, Tom Fletcher, Vaughn Palmer should be ashamed of themselves, but they aren`t, they pat each other on the back and polish each other`s resume..

Ezra Levant and Sunnew endless fracking promotion, claims no spills happen, claims no drinking water ever contaminated..

Not reporting any of these spills is tantamount to corporate capitulation..No, it`s a dereliction of duty, a failure of journalistic standards, a complete betrayal of the public`s right to know, especially when LNG and pipelines are prominent election issues...

This should make the oil man monster harper happy as he destroys Canada one province at a time. Can't say he didn't tell us we wouldn't recognize Canada when he is finished with it, he just didn't tell us how. He needs to be hung by his legs into this oil until he no longer breathes and cannot destroy OUR country any more.

As usual harper kills more people and jobs to make OUR Canada die a slow now fast death.

I don't believe these oil pigs can't build safe pipelines that won't leak but then why would they waste their money, they don't even clean up their messes and it is left up to the good tax-paying people to pay up to do it for them.

Time to withhold all taxes which only go to the oil pigs and harper and his mob.

Thanks Grant for doing the corrupt corporate media job for them while they reap the profits from big oil and gas as does the criminal harper and his goons.

You are welcome Jean...As you have all noticed, our domestic media refuse to report oil spills, pipeline breaks..Reporting those hard truths go against the narrative that pipelines are safe, cowardly, gutless, bought media..

Deliberately deaf, dumb and blind

Well Grant for I think for the second time only I disagree with your comment "Deliberately deaf, dumb and blind". I know you were spoofing but...

They know exactly what they are doing and deliberately as the really big millions/billions of bucks come their way.

I would like to see all of them drowned in oil too.
