Talk about a political blogger`s dream, ex-premiers, 4 different parties, a delusional madman, a ruling party crumbling into bits, recalls, referendums, Goebells media, no one is driving the train, oh yea, we don`t have a train anymore but we do have many train executives on our Provincial payrole......
I was thinking about Campbell`s latest announcement, he will of course have to open the legislature to make it happen so don`t hold your breath......
A 2 cent per litre reduction in jet fuel on (International flights).....And a freezing of landing fees at YVR at 2010 rates......This move will cost the B.C. treasury about $18 to $20 million dollars per year, this according to Campbell is being done to attract more international carriers to YVR....
But...The money loss to the treasury is coming from..... from carriers that are already here, in other words we are giving away a secure steady stream of money from customers we already have.......Don`t get me wrong, I saw the story on the news, the price of international flights will not be reduced in price, and to be honest, 2 cents a litre break on the price of fuel is not going to attract new carriers, in fact we are losing carriers to Bellingham, way cheaper to fly out of Bellingham......
And there is that other little problem, the world is broke and tourism is flat and falling!
So theorectically all Campbell has done is give away $20 million to foreign carriers, a hole that the public will have to fill, why not offer the deal to airlines if they agree to come to YVR? Why give away the farm, the remaining carriers aren`t going anywhere!.......
And on a more fundamental basis........Why not give domestic carriers a break?...Why not give Canadians flying to Canadian cities a break?....
The HST, if you want to fly on a domestic airline from YVR to Heathrow, not only won`t you get the same break but....You are also paying the HST, there is no HST on international flights, so let me see if I got this right......
International flights will get a break on the fuel, Domestic flights won`t, international flights pay no HST but domestic flights will pay the HST.......Does Gordon Campbell really hate us that much?
Let`s take this a little further.......A big old jet flying across the Pacific ocean carrying a load of socialites and politicians don`t need to pay the carbon tax but little granny driving her saab has to pay a carbon tax.....A plane load of wealthy tourists are spared the carbon tax but Joe Lunch bucket has to pay a carbon tax at every fill up....
And Campbell wonders why we BCers are ready to assassinate him.........
Last week on the Bill Good show ......Bill had on a guest from Syncrude trust out of Alberta......I forget the guy`s name but.....He was talking about the importance of the Alberta TAR sands to Canada, and B.C......He was also advocating the Enbridge pipeline.......
But the most interesting thing this guy said was...."Heavy crude oil will be a major part of society for at least 4 more decades if not longer"....
And I don`t disagree with that statement.....But again, a few years ago when Campbell the Habitual liar was pollinating the green file.....
Campbell said..."Global warming is the biggest battle of our lives, we must sacrifice for the sake of future generations....The carbon tax is the equivelant of taking 400,000 cars off the road each year" snip......
Yet no cars have been taken off the road.........Campbell wants to push through Enbridge, lay waste to 35kilometers of land and destroy Fish Lake, have massive super tankers loaded with crude oil plying the most dangerous waters in the world, give airline flying around the world a free pass yet you....The little guy must pay a phony carbon tax!
Quickly on the HST.......Hansen and Campbell showed nothing but phony igdignation on the news tonight, oh the humanity, Vander Zalm used the phrase survivor, ....Zalm is treating a serious matter like a game show........
Who cares what Zalm calls the recall campaign, Deal or no deal...The Gong show, or Lets make a deal.....The name means nothing, you my friends can expect the Liberals to be all on message using the Game show comparison.....
Yet the only one who is childish are the BC Liberals...Rewrite deficit laws every year, gag laws, law suits, special prosecutors, before the courts, shredded emails, staffers all suffering dimensia, freedom of information gutted, documents completely whited out!....
And finally, I would like to share the little game McGuinty and Campbell are playing, the game their playing with your future....
Gordon Campbell used Ontario to justify all the latest pay raises to senior bueracrats and MLAs ...The excuse was....Ontario pays X dollars and we are losing all the talent to Ontario...We need competitive salaries to attract the best and the brightest(insert laughter here)....
Gordon Campbell played the game again with McGuinty`s HST......"We must adopt the HST to stay competitive with Ontario" snip ......
Yet, did McGuinty adopt the carbon tax like B.C. did?......Did Ontario copy BCs property transfer tax?.......Did Ontario lower their minimum wage to BCs $6 dollars per hour to remain competitive? Did BC raise minimum wage to $10.50 per hour like Ontario?......
You see folks, only when it came to raising politician`s salaries did Campbell roll out Ontario to assist.....Only when it came to a $2 billion dollar per year tax hit to the BC consumer did Campbell roll out Ontario to justify whacking the public!....
Yet the carbon tax, minimum wage, gas prices, liquor/smokes/ food/ user fees..... Gordon Campbell ignores Ontario with all of those taxing issues.....
Gordon Campbell is so demented, such an habitual liar, such an economy killer......The public, BCers from Oak Bay to the Peace river detest Campbell and will sign recall, I know it, you know, 85% of every BCer knows it....Campbell is a walking dead man....
There is only one segment of society holding up a bleeding, bruised and battered Gordon Campbell......Bill Good/CKNW/GLOBAL/CTV and Howe street......

Just another very expensive Campbell vendetta (scare tactic, more debt) against the B.C. taxpayers to distract us all from the non-stop destruction and give-away of the assets of our province by the WORST 'ECONOMIC MANAGER' IN THE HISTORY OF B.C., Gordon Campbell....and his B.C. Liberal mob, aided and abetted by the corrupt, absolutely corrupt media.
Cyanide in the Electa, manganese in the well water, one endless disaster after another if you believe a word Campbell and his corrupt media say.
What does scare me is organized crime and brutal slayings on our streets, going unmentioned and unabated by the government mobsters...but we do have the honor of being #1 in the world for organized crime, per capita and all the high-rolling lawyers moving here...business is so good.

Excellent observations re:Using Ontario as an excuse, WHEN CONVENIENT. Unfortunately, Ontario is still recovering from its years under the Campbell like Harris government - but the people there are apparently no smarter than the BC Voters, as Toronto seems poised to elect their own Tea Pary North mayor - which will only set the centre of the universe even further behind actually dealing with issues that matter going forward.
BC and Canada already have the most business friendly tax regime in the developed world - now if the greed bags could only get our wages down to the level of barefoot children in the third world, we would really be in business. But, have no fear, they're working on it! Until then however, all new manufacturing jobs will be elsewhere. Welcome to McWorld!

The HST was a done deal weeks after the BC election but.....

Canada has the worst crop of politicians, that I can ever remember, in all of my years. Harper, Campbell and Hansen, are at the top of the list. BC's HST goes directly to Harper, as prearranged. BC is not a manufacturing province. We are a province of, natural resources. BC citizens, will not benefit from the HST, what-so-ever. The HST, is just another one of Campbell's tax grabs. The HST, was designed, for big business, and big business only. I watched the House of Commons, on TV. A motion was passed, by the entire house to give...Banks, big business, gas and oil company's, millions of our tax dollars. They also get, huge tax reductions. Now, big business being a bottomless pits of greed. They are lined up at the trough, squealing for the HST too. I am ashamed of my province. I am ashamed, we have a convicted criminal, as a premier. I am losing, my pride of country. Harper hides his true self, under the facade, of, being a christian. Harper, Campbell and Hansen, have a great admiration of China. Canadian Intelligence, is watching, both BC and Ontario. We also know, Ontario's Legislature, was raided. Harper keeps preaching, about global governance. I read, that global government, will be communist. We certainly, live in a dictatorship. Campbell works for Harper, his face just beams, in Harper's presence. It is a sick sight to see. Harper, Ignatieff, Campbell and Hansen, each and every one of them, lied about the HST. Campbell doesn't care about the BC Liberal government, because, he isn't a Liberal. Campbell is, Harper's pet cat.
The 2 cents a litre reduction scheduled for 2012 and it's proposed benefits are questionable.
The last time the BC government reduced the tax on Avgas (100 LL -- not jet) by 1 cent, well guess what?
Thanks to some of the retailers the cost of Avgas went up by a similar amount (quite the coincidence), so it will be interesting if history repeats itself.
It must also be highlighted that any tax reductions given to business will not create jobs as claimed. This so called trickle down is merely spin or wishful thinking. Any tax reductions that equal more profits are simply re-invested overseas into markets like China or India.
It is about time everyone realizes that these suits are only thieves, uploading from the taxpayer.

This coming winter, will see utility cutoffs, and many more evictions. $6.00 per hour, buys nothing, the number of children living in poverty, has already gone way up. Small businesses, are shutting their doors everyday, because of the HST. Restaurants, are dying, also Real Estate, is taking a big hit. The HST was designed for big business, and big business only. This is what was voted for, in the House of Commons. Banks, big business, gas and oil companies were given millions of our tax dollars. They also get huge tax reductions. But, big business are, bottomless pits of greed. They are now lined up at the trough, squealing for the HST as well. I watched this on TV. This motion was passed, by the entire house. What party, would stomp out, the corruption raging in Canada. I say none. They will not want to lose their cash cow, that corruption gives them.
Personally, if I was looking for an appropriate punishment for Campbell and his gang of tools, I would employ the stock which was utilized in times of yore in England. There would be nothing more satisfying to see these clowns chained at the ankles with their wrists bound to a hunk of wood secured to the ground in Oppenheimer Park.
We know that no matter how many illegal and immoral things they have perpetrated upon the citizens of BC, they will walk away unscathed. Even if by some chance they are exposed as a dishonest government, they will never face any litigation. They will just fade into the sunset with their gold-plated pensions and live happily ever after.
When they are tossed out on their collective asses they will face no meaningful consequences, and we will begin a new chapter of malfeasance.
That is the political system we live under and unless we, the public, demand and force a change, will just face another series of atrocities.
As some wrestler used to say "don't hate the messenger, hate the game". It's hard to imagine such a prophetic statement from a roidhead, but regardless of the source, the message speaks volumes.
