Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline Proposal Is Dead, Still Dead, Remaining Dead

 

There was a story on the front page of the Vancouver Sun this morning, the article was titled..

Support For Northern Gateway Increasing.


I find so ridiculously funny, as you know thousands rallied across Canada last week, there were over 5000 people in Vancouver protesting at Science world, 400 in Smithers and thousands more in towns everywhere in British Columbia, not on a warm sunny summer day, on a cold day in November..

This push poll done by Insights West, by the way, Mario Canseco is now Insights West top guy, he no longer is at Angus Reid, and we know how good their polling was last May..

This claim of increased support for Enbridge, since last January Stephen Harper has spent $60 million federal tax dollars advertising the benefits of pipelines..

This claim of increased support for Enbridge comes after Enbridge themselves have spent another $10 million dollars on advertising, this on top of the $6 million Enbridge spent last year advertising northern gateway....Janet Holder is now one with the whale advertising...

I find so amusing that the week after the massive rallies against Enbridge Bill Good and CKNW never did even 1 segment on that topic...in fact Bill Good`s Monday morning editorial the day after the big rally against Enbridge was a rant about...

About "doorknobs".....Bill Good started the week, started with his Monday morning editorial talking about doorknobs, the entire week, not one segment on Enbridge..And the Vancouver Sun..The Province, even Global News...They deliberately let the story die, like the rallies never happened..

What would you expect from a bunch of gutless doorknobs disguised as journalists..

Even when you analyze that above chart, a skewed poll with an in-house panel, the opposition is still double those who support....Think about who won the Federal election, Harper got a majority with only a few more points of support than the NDP...If one put those numbers above in a federal election context, the party with as much support would have almost every house of commons seat..or in the case of Enbridge`s northern gateway pipeline...They would be lucky to have even one seat! In other words, the opposition is the "mountain" to Enbridge`s "Molehill"...!

And Enbridge, they continue to hide and skulk around as they attempt to push through a brutal run of river project in a salmon fertile river, a run of river project was once before proposed for the Clore River and rejected because of the fact..."The Clore is a vital salmon bearing river" ...yes, you heard it here, under the guise of a numbered company with no reference to Enbridge themselves, they have no morals, ethics or class,,,Enbridge is aware that the Clore was deemed off limits before,  as a company called C-Free power corp had their Clore River run of river project rejected....So even in the midst of a Enbridge advertising blitz, as they attempt to convince(hoodwink) British Columbians into accepting northern Gateway pipeline, Enbridge plays hide n seek games with a numbered company..

Just one more reason why Enbridge northern gateway pipeline proposal is dead, still dead and will be remaining dead!

And, did we not see the same push-polling with the HST?...$30 million in pro-HST advertising and they moved the needle a few points only, and that was with false advertising, ...Enbridge is running false advertising too...We have no HST...We will have no Enbridge either..

This next segment/graph on the Insights West-push poll....My oh my, look at all the benefits...

Jobs?...Enbridge would create 150 permanent jobs...Richmond city council just approved a Wallmart for the city of Richmond...The Wallmart will create 1000 permanent jobs(not that I am any fan of Wallamart)

The point I`m making is..Enbridge will mean nothing to our province, all they will do is fill their personal pockets with cash at the expense of our coastline and salmon rivers, and Enbridge will cost British Columbia $millions and $millions in northern tourism dollars..Enbridge will taint our brand, our Super Natural British Columbia brand..

And again, no questions to the poll takers like...What effect would a big tanker spill have on our coast...

If a tanker spill on our north coast only killed 10 million birds and the orca population would this project be acceptable..

And..Insights West doesn`t state what order the questions were asked....I have it on good authority that the Benefits questions(Chart number 2) was the first set of questions asked.... Chart 3 questions were asked last....That my friends is how you skew a poll...!..You get people thinking about and committing answers to benefits questions then ask them about their support..you box the respondents in..

These push/poll questions..The blather about increased revenue for healthcare..education...and infrastructure...

Newsflash, a new grow-op creates economic activity, those growers will now have spending money thus paying taxes..spin spin spin...The fact is just having a Enbridge project will harm British Columbia`s $14 billion dollar tourism industry...That is a real fact..

Enbridge`s own claims, their project will pay British Columbia in taxation a mere ..$30 million dollars per year.....less money will come from Enbridge than 1 Wallmart store in Richmond!

The Enbridge Kalamazoo river spill disaster has cost over $1.2 billion dollars so far, hundreds of residents have had to move from their homes, the area is still toxic and still not cleaned..60 miles of river bed has to be dredged and removed..
