Gordon Campbell is Drunk on More than Power
The ole two step shuffle, or in this case it`s more like dealing from the bottom of the deck........
A few items from today`s move stick out in my mind as shocking, why is it when the Gordon Campbell Government is running massive multi-billion dollar deficits, deficits directly attributable to his idiotic fiscal policies,...examples of those are the massive subsidies to the oil n gas sector, outsourcing B.C. shipbuilding, the elimination of the minimum bank tax, bankrupting BC Hydro with power buying agreements with Campbell`s American masters, at a time when Campbell has run our Province into the ground Campbell has created new ministries, the largest cabinet in B.C. history......
A ministry of building codes???....A ministry of science????.....It`s quite clear that Gordon Campbell is attempting to bribe all the BC Liberal MLAs with our tax dollars, he is trying to buy loyalty.
George bobblehead Abbot as minister of education????....Rich Coleman as the new top cop, now that`s rich, the man who gutted all oversight into gaming, Coleman eliminated government oversight into the rampant money laundering and organized crime, it`s now a free-for-all......Coleman as Solicitor General means but one thing, there is no more law in British Columbia except laws to fine and steal from it`s own citizens....
And, Martyn Brown is no longer Campbell`s Chief -of-staff....Brown has been transfered to the tourism minisrty, I wonder how Martyn Brown will find it, as you know Martyn Brown required a seeing eye dog to lead him to the court room, wow!
So here in a time of huge deficits Gordon Campbell managaed to funnel literally $millions of dollars to his spineless jellyfish MLAs....Trying to buy loyalty and stave off dissent are we Campbell?
John Les along with half a dozen other backbenchers have been given little chores in exchange for big raises, these zebras are showing their stripes again....MONEY..GIVE us MONEY....John Les is now legislative secretary in charge of explaining the HST....You mean the crimean war veteran Sam couldn`t sell the HST..
Kash Heed, yes friends Kash Heed will be facing charges soon for election fraud and has been thrown under the bus,......Basi/Virk/Heed, ......They have one thing in common, you can figure it out!
But for this persuader, the most egregious move by the Habitual liar Campbell is ....The appointment of Paul Taylor to be Campbell`s Chief-of-staff....
Folks, Paul Taylor was Campbell`s Deputy Finance minister in his first term, .....But then Gordon Campbell appointed Paul Taylor as CEO of ICBC.....And what a stellar performance by Taylor at ICBC....Under Paul Taylors watch ....ICBC had the chop shop scandal, the ICBC insider rigged car auctions happened under Taylors watch, but before the shit hit the fan at ICBC Paul Taylor resigned from ICBC, Paul Taylor ran away and hid, and, Paul Taylor took with him......A severence package of well over $500,000.00 dollars...
Yes indeed, illegal chop shop, no diclosure to the duped buyers of wrecked cars from ICBC, fraudulent sales, the rigged auctions were organized by ICBC insiders, high salaried employees of ICBC were allowed to bid $10 dollars over the last bid, thus scamming the system, all under Paul Taylor`s watch....
So when the fur was flying Paul Taylor took his massive $1/2 million dollar plus severence package and scooted.....And where did Paul Taylor scoot to.....Taylor went to Naikun wind power, but he wasn`t there very long, Taylor was unable to con the Haida, he was unable to peddle his snake oil and after being thoroughly rejected by the Haisla/Haida Nation the money brokers at Naikun wind power told Paul Taylor to take a long walk off a short pier........
It`s apparant to all that Gordon Campbell wanted his favorite bag man back in the fold, don`t be surprised if Gordon Campbell doesn`t put Taylor back in charge of thieving at ICBC......
All in all this shuffle has done nothing but add a minimum of $2 million dollars per year in Legislative expenses, this ploy is so obvious, buying loyalty, your desperate plan wont work Scampbell, the public hasn`t forgot about Paul Taylor and his leadership style, you can buy loyalty from your gutless MLAs but that will not save you from the Recall of Ida Chong, Donna Barnett or Terry Lake and more until your Government falls......
Gordon Campbell is desperately hoping the new minister of science can figure out how to turn fools gold into real gold, or at the least to turn "water into wine"

Jun 2, 2010 Press release:
"Vancouver, B.C. – June 2, 2010 – NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc. (“NaiKun Wind”) (TSX-Venture: NKW) announced today that effective June 15, 2010, Paul Taylor, President & CEO, will be
leaving NaiKun Wind and also resigning from the Board of Directors. . .
"NaiKun Wind will incur a one-time charge of approximately
$665,000 arising from the buy-out of Mr. Taylor’s employment agreement."
Jul 1, 2010 News report, The Globe and Mail:
"Defence lawyer Michael Bolton read out in court part of an e-mail about information exchanged between a member of Pilothouse Public Affairs and the then
deputy minister of finance Paul Taylor while they were on a fishing trip.
“Paul was making it clear he will be there for us,” writes lobbyist Brian Kieran to his colleagues, after describing how Mr. Taylor tried to get the lobby firm work with a car dealer association in August, 2003.
"At that time, Mr. Kieran and his colleagues were also working for Colorado-based OmniTrax, one of three bidders for the Crown-owned BC Rail."
Jul 1, 2010 Blog report, EastoftheSun:
[Martyn] Brown testified Wednesday that [Jessica] McDonald got on this shady business as soon as it came to light seeking to ascertain, through an independent investigation with KPMG forensic, “how much if any of the email was correct?”.
And then, according to Brown, McDonald asked KPMG to investigate and answer this question: “what was the nature of the relationship in this instance and was there anything that would be inappropriate for the deputy minister of finance”.
Except that’s not true. McDonald did no such thing. Here’s what McDonald asked KPMG to investigate after the issue was first raised by the Leader of the Opposition.
“The terms of reference for this investigation focused on the following issues:
“Whether Taylor’s dealings with the British Columbia Automobile Dealers Association (BCADA) and its members were compliant with the standards of conduct in accordance with Taylor’s role as deputy minister; and,
“Whether Taylor attempted to influence the government on behalf of the BCADA or its members during his tenure as deputy minister in a manner that was inconsistent with his position.
Except the real issue wasn’t about the Automobile Dealers. It was about Pilothouse and Taylor’s relationship and promises to them. After all Pilothouse was in the middle of the BC Rail process, lobbying for their client Omnitrax. But there was nothing in the investigation about Pilothouse. Nothing about offering lobbyists a benefit while they were engaged in the BC Rail bidding process – a bidding process Taylor was partly responsible for. Nothing about the real issues at play that day out on Kieran’s fish boat.
Question. Knowing dirt was about to hit the fan blades, did Naikun decide that it was more valuable to
pay Paul Taylor $665,000 to leave than to stay? Influence peddlers are crippled when lights shine too bright.
These a$$holes just keep coming back don't they!! How much more are we going to keep paying these corrupt crooks??
Recall.
(Thanks to Norm for the article)
Excellent post Grant! We are winning. I wrote the LG Mr. Steven L. Point asking him to recall the Legislature.

KPMG report on actions of Paul Taylor
L. Krog: "Over a month ago the government released only a summary reporting letter from KPMG into the activities of Mr. Paul Taylor and the B.C. Automobile Dealers Association."
Hon. C. Taylor: "As has been said in this House, when the proper FOI process has been completed, information will be released."
Mr. Speaker: "The member has a supplemental."
L. Krog: "It's very clear that that process appears to be more of a delaying tactic than a process."
"The opposition has received a further relevant e-mail dated January 27, 2003, from Mr. Kieran to Mr. Bornman, part of which reads: "Just got a call from Paul Taylor's wife. She is his message bearer. He suggests we get Omnitrax together with Larry Blain, the new CEO of Partnerships B.C., the P3 agency that Paul engineered. Larry is on holiday at the moment. Paul says all partnerships with government including BCR will be funded by Partnerships. We'll put this together next week.""
"This clearly shows that the real issue is the relationship between Mr. Taylor and Pilothouse, which KPMG was not instructed to investigate. This e-mail shows that Mr. Taylor was providing Pilothouse with a range of information dealing with the most sensitive and confidential government matters."

Gordon Campbell is a sociopath. He has completely sold out the average person in BC and has no respect for basic human dignity, based on the misery he is causing for the middle class and below. He is exactly what those who fund the Fraser Institute wanted. A heartless dirtbag!
While Gordo the liar sells off the Province, gives himself a 54% raise, increases the number of ministers and drops corporate taxes to 10%, plus gives them a $2B annual tax break through the HST. His mealy mouthed propaganda puppet brother pounds he airwaves telling us we can't afford our social programs and we must give, give and give more breaks to corporations. Of course, he never admits that he won't stop until the multi-nationals pay effectively zero tax and then there will be no money for social spending. All lies and propaganda from Gordo and Mike the corporate stooges.
I read your blogs, guess that makes me a wing-nut as well, but I also read the US blogs. I must pass this on to you because it is my belief that we are so close to what is being described in the following article.

Burning Down the House: A Crime Beyond Denunciation
By Michael Moore
So how do the Wall Street boys feel after destroying the world economy while pocketing billions, and then getting bailed out by everyone else in America? I'm sure they're filled with remorse and desperately trying to make it up to us. Right?
"The first thing that needs to happen, I think, is to get these people out of their homes," a man wearing a bespoke blue-striped shirt, a Hermés tie patterned with elephants and Ferragamo loafers said recently. "Correct! I'll explain," the veteran member of a bank restructuring and advisory team said...
"The question to me is not do you foreclose or do you not foreclose. The question is when and with what philosophy you foreclose," the man on the bank restructuring team said. "If you want to reduce the amount of leveraged homeowners you have, you need to ultimately kick them out of their homes." A colleague walked up: His recommendation was to burn houses. "It would lower the supply."
And a quote in this article from The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck was telling. It is as follows:
" . . . . The works of the roots of the vines, of the trees, must be destroyed to keep up the price, and this is the saddest, bitterest thing of all. Carloads of oranges dumped on the ground. The people came for miles to take the fruit, but this could not be. How would they buy oranges at twenty cents a dozen if they could drive out and pick them up? And men with hoses squirt kerosene on the oranges, and they are angry at the crime, angry at the people who have come to take the fruit. A million people hungry, needing the fruit -- and kerosene sprayed over the golden mountains.
There is a crime here that goes beyond denunciation. There is a sorrow here that weeping cannot symbolize. There is a failure here that topples all our success. The fertile earth, the straight tree rows, the sturdy trunks, and the ripe fruit. And children dying of pellagra must die because a profit cannot be taken from an orange. And coroners must dill in the certificates -- died of malnutrition -- because the food must rot, must be forced to rot.. . . . "

This man, Gordo is completely under the control of those that have plundered the US of A's middle class. When he talks it is like someone is pulling the strings of his talking head.
What has to happen before those that truly believe that things are getting better (I call it the 'head up their ass' effect) realize that all is not as it seems.
