Forgive me on this series, I will be using lots of research and other people`s words,but don`t fear, I will be adding my usual subtle commentary.

B.C`s coal exports clash with new green initiatives

B.C. coal that burns in overseas plants grossly outweighs the benefits of the province`s green initiatives,critics say. BY K Spencer

"There needs to be a discussion about the full cycle of of coal" says Matt Horne of the Pembina institute.

Pembina`s research shows B.C. coal was responsible for 59 million tonnes of carbon emissions in 2006.All but 2.3 million tonnes in steel-making processes overseas.

The emissions are equivalent of keeping 15 million cars on the road for a year or heating 23 million Canadian homes per year.By comparison,B.C. had 2.7 million registered vehicles in 2007, and about 800.000 single family homes in 2006.

Meanwhile,coal exports are expected to rise as fast as B.C. can "ramp up" new mines and transportation,said B.C. mines minister Kevin Krueger.

B.C. exported 28 million tonnes in 2007; the province has 20 billion tonnes of coal in reserves. "India would like to buy 100 million tonnes annually from us " Krueger said, "prices have gone from 80$ to 300$ a tonne,it`s fantastic.I don`t see a slowdown."

Coal,which is used for coke production,is one of the major sources of pollutants in the steel industry.

NDP energy critic Shane Simpson said B.C. is not reducing it`s overall emissions if coal is included on the balance sheet. "There is no evidence the B.C. government is doing anything to mitigate impacts of coal-based pollution.We should be working on that and were not" Simpson said "Carbon capture and storage for coking coal is in it`s infancy.It doesn`t have a commercial operation.No resources are going into research."

With the added demand from India and China our overseas pollution numbers become a scary,daunting scenario,as the author above stated,we ship overseas 28 million tonnes of coal,India wants(if we could supply) another 100 million tonnes annually.

When(not if) we start supplying this amount of coal for export our B.C. carbon footprint becomes the footprint of a giant polluter.

When B.C. "ramps up" coal exports after this recession ends to over a hundred million tonnes annually,the carbon footprint will be equivalent of the emissions of 60 million cars yearly or enough emissions to heat 92 million homes annually!

So forget about B.C. being the little green gem and protector of the environment,our exports from B.C. will amount to the emissions of 3 times the amount of homes in all of Canada, or emissions of vehicles equal to more than double the cars in all of Canada!

So what is it going to be Campbell? Are you going to be the dealer of black death,are you going to invest in clean coal technology,I doubt it, so you gullible B.C.ers......Pay your little carbon tax at the pump,your clean air levy on your hydro bill, I hope it makes you feel better, look,I am no tree hugger,but we can`t play it both ways,we can`t punish average folks with punitive pathetic carbon taxes while offering no alternatives and at the same we are directly polluting other nation`s backyards,all of this wasted debate over Burrard thermal, meanwhile Campbell is using phony import /export numbers to justify selling our rivers and killing our fish all because Montana or Alberta is burning Natural gas or coal.....

I have been getting a little heat from the private power pimps from Plutonic over my run of river story, trust me,I know all the facts,the real facts,each and every aspect of Campbell`s phony green plan will be exposed,including the second biggest phony in BC...none other than BC Liberal paid spokesman MARC JACCARD.....Remember that clown, the clown who knows Campbell`s carbon tax is useless, unless increased 30 fold,the same Marc Jaccard who was warning of possible job losses if we dared try to stop GAS FLARING in the oil n gas sector.

What are your priorities Gordon Campbell?

Gordon Campbell is mentally a very sick man,and apparently it`s contagious and it`s affecting all BC Liberals.


I have to admit that I thought the Campbell Liberals couldn`t stoop any lower,boy was I wrong,you haven`t seen anything yet. I would like to highlight a few jaw droppers.



Margaret MacDiarmid, the new minister of education and a doctor by training,I wouldn`t want her as my doctor, seems she has abandoned the hippocratic oath and taken a blood oath to become a Campbell disciple.Here we are as a province holding the winter olympics,promoting sports,own the podium and what does Campbell do,cut off a 200.000.00$ in funding for school sports programs,and how does DR. Margaret(strangelove)MacDiarmid education minister respond,she suggest that kids can dance,walk and play in the park, very interesting except for one thing, who wants their young children walking on the streets,in parks when they are all full of drug dealers and gang violence. I just read a story tonight in the Vancouver Sun tonight about Magaret MacDiarmid,and it just shocked me,I urge all of you to read it and look at the picture of her,.......Here is the jist of the story---A few school boards want to borrow money from outside sources to get by because their broke,Magaret MacDiarmid says they can`t borrow money,it`s against provincial law to run a deficit,and it might affect the province`s credit rating,Magaret MacDiarmid suggests closing schools laying off staff and selling assets! Your not capable of anything Margaret MacDiarmid,your days as a politician are over before they started,you make me miss Shirley Bond,now that`s saying something.


Last week Rich Coleman was trying to explain all the cuts to funding grants for community groups,Rich Coleman was trying to explain how the government has priorities,the government wanted to make sure that kids had the necessities of life,Coleman went on to say that feeding hungry kids was more important than funding arts or community groups.....Hmmm interesting.

And boy was I shocked this week to find out that the lunch program for needy kids was cut,you got to be kidding right? Nope, so it appears that Coleman spoke prematurely before checking with Premier Gordon (deranged)Campbell,how does it feel Rich Coleman? What will it take for you to speak up? But it makes perfect sense,cut the lunch program for hungry kids and cut funding for school sports,Campbell wouldn`t want kids running around getting hungry only to find an empty lunch box! I`m waiting Dr. margaret(strangelove)Mcdiarmid, what does your medical expertise suggest you tell hungry kids,don`t burn energy,conserve?


You ministers have been infected with Campbell fever,symptoms include assaulting the poor,children,and you know you have it bad when more severe symptoms show up,these include saying "boo hoo" when your stuck in traffic because someone is committing suicide on a bridge and is holding you up in traffic,the most severe symptom is putting your foot in your mouth after every press conference.


And how about the other little story,social services in BC are now denying welfare to anyone who has a warrant or charge against them in any province,well before you jump on me let me explain,your a down and outer,you owe fines in Ontario,or you have marijuana charge against your out of luck,but here is the rub, the other provinces won`t fly you back,BC won`t send them back,nope,these people are told to get lost, well guess who will be hitting the streets as a hooker,thief,drug dealer,it`s failed thinking.


But meanwhile there was another announcement today,not the sports funding cuts,not the lunch program being cancelled, apparently Gordon Campbell has come up 500.000.00$ in funding for schools to get the students into the olympic spirit,this money is to help put the olympic theme into the curriculum, so let me see if I got this right,no funding for sports,no money for lunches for poor kids but a half million$$$ to get lethargic hungry kids to embrace the olympics,perhaps the olympic mascots for Vancouver 2010 were given the wrong names,instead of naming them....

Sumi,Quatchi and Miga, they should of been named ( Sue me---Squalor--and Meager )

Now it`s not like this should shock anyone in BC...since 2001 Campbell has put more people on the street,we lead Canada in homeless and for 6 straight years BC has the worst child poverty in Canada,and we now have the lowest minimum wage in Canada.


Now it`s not like Campbell has no money to spend,because where was Gordon Campbell yesterday,where else,at the Vancouver convention center for a photo-op and ribbon cutting,and just exactly what was being opened yesterday,well there were two items....first off there was a connecting concourse and Salish art gallery that was opened,and guess what,the budget for the concourse and the Salish art gallery was 20 million$$, it only went over budget by 19 million dollars$$$, Huh, 19 million could sure buy a lot of meals and thats like 100 times more money than the cut sports funding,but there`s more...


Also yesterday the east wing re-opened at the Convention center,the Vancouver sun called the re-opening "refurbishment"....Let me remind you of what this was,remember when the 883 million dollar $$ convention center opened (480 million over budget) shortly after it opened they had a major water leak,a whole floor got flooded,and apparently,gutted,well the cost for that little repair..."refurbishment" of a brand new 883 million dollar building was 28 million dollars....Say what,no warranty,no guarantee, I guess not,so add another 28 million to the 883 million and another 19 million for the cost over-run on the concourse....Read it here

What the heck eh, another 38 million for the concourse/Salish art gallery and 28 million to repair a brand new building whats another 65 million for a 2 week party!

Now we know that Campbell and Hansen ran a fraudulent election,but lets go back to Campbell`s 2005 election campaign.

The Campbell government`s re-election in 2005 was based on a platform of achieving five great goals for a golden decade.

Let me remind you what those five great goals were.

1. To make B.C. the best educated,most literate jurisdiction on the continent.
2. To lead the way in north America in healthy living and physical fitness.
3. To build the best system of support in Canada for persons with disabilities,special needs,children at risk and seniors.
4. To lead the world in sustainable environmental management with the best air and water quality and the best fisheries management bar none.
5. To create more jobs per capita than anywhere in Canada.

Lets examine those goals shall we.

1. Slash/cut/ school funding and cut funding to libraries
2. Cut funding for school sports and cut the lunch program for hungry kids
3. cut funding for student aid including loan forgiveness for students that become disabled during their education,now those disabled students will have to pay back loans for education which they can`t finish.
4. Build a ten lane bridge for cars,reneg on the Evergreen line,add a 12% tax to energy efficient appliances,leave unregulated gas flaring alone,cancel the home smart program that was designed to make homes more energy efficient.And let fish farms expand,slash the ministry of the environment,allow IPPs to destroy fish habitat and govern over salmon species that are collapsing province wide,refuse to regulate fish farms,refuse to force fish farms on land.
5. B.C. has led Canada in job losses,more jobs have been lost in B.C, per capita than any province in Canada.

Thank goodness Gordon Campbell only had five great goals for a golden decade! I don`t think we could of survived anymore of Campbells great goals.

So it is my personal opinion that Gordon Campbell is completely deranged,the man has lied,broke the law,destroyed or lost government documents,wrote illegal laws,doubled our B.C. debt, the three largest deficits in B.C. history,sold assets,gave away forests and rivers,refused to raise minimum wage and now he`s whacking everyone with a huge tax hike.

Are those the actions of a sane man? What Liberal,which MLA, who wants to stand up for the people of BC?

Will it be Kevin Falcon, Rich Coleman, George Abbott, Mary Mcneil, Mary Polak, Magaret MacDiarmid, Kash Heed, is there one BC Liberal with enough class to stand up and fight for BC or are all of you going to follow Gordon Campbell over the cliff with your foot in your mouth!

There is no one to vote for federally

I can`t remember any time in Canadian history (at least in my lifetime) where there is absolutely no one to vote for.

Lets go back to the last federal election, Stephan Dion,my god,the man couldn`t speak english, and his vaunted "green shift" are you kidding, nothing but pandering to the naive green,here we BCers had a useless carbon/gas tax jammed down our throat,a carbon that had no debate in our legislature and the carbon tax had absolutely ZERO data proving it would work,and here Dion was going to double whammy BC with a green shift.

Let me be clear,I am no federal Liberal fan, Chretian balanced the books by cutting transfers to provinces,the senate loaded with partisan appointees,the Liberals are just too entrenched in Ontario to give a rats ass about the rest of Canada.

Jack Layton,enough said........The attempted coalition government cost the BC NDP the provincial election.

Elizabeth May....Are you kidding me!....200$ a tonne carbon tax, no platform,and Mz May was willing to lay down with anybody for a cabinet seat, and she travelled 3000 miles to Saanich/gulf islands, anything,anywhere to get a seat---there is only one problem with may running there.....There is another green candidate in that riding----A Mr Hertzog----Well I listened to a radio interview on the Christie Clark show,she had on Lizzy May----Well Lizzy May said that she talked to local residents and they wanted her to run,when Christie asked her about the other Green candidate in that riding.....well

Lizzy May was very arrogant,she stated that they have internal ways of resolving who runs where but she was completely confident that she would get the nod to run there and Hertzog would be given the boot!

Gee,that doesn`t sound too democratic to me, sorry but Lizzy May has no back-bone,she would sell her soul for a seat in Ottawa, give up her principles,with Lizzy may at the helm the Greens are all but finished!

Stephen Harper, lets be perfectly clear,Harper and Flaherty knew Canada was going into a deep recession,they knew about falling revenues,they rushed the last election to try and get his majority before Canada went 200 billion into the red...

Well he didn`t get his majority(thank god) the man has proven to be a dictator,a one-man show,just like Campbell, and as far as I am concerned,Stephen Harper has no mandate to offer Ontario or BC transitional money to adopt the HST, that wasn`t on his election platform,and he is bribing provinces with their own money, and Harper/Canada doesn`t have any money! Why not give BC 50 billion to move to the HST or give Ontario 200 billion to switch to the HST,what difference does it make,Canada is broke,200 billion in the red over the next three years.

In the last election in my riding we had three candidates to choose from, we had a Liberal,no bloody way could I vote for a Stephan Dion government, we had a Green candidate,sort of,the Green candidate on the sunshine coast was no other than ex-conservative Blair Wilson,a man who was pushy,aggressive,and had many lawsuits filed against him,lawsuits from family,friends,everyone says he swindled them,where was Blair Wilson going to get millions to pay this money back? Maybe Blair Wilson figured once in office he would find a way to get money by hook or by crook.

So by default I voted for the Conservative,and boy do I regret voting for Harper!

Which brings me to a real problem I will be facing come this fall during the next federal election.

So here as I am writing this post with the radio on, there was just some breaking news from Victoria in the lock-up....Jim Flaherty(according to Sean Leslie) stated that Canada will run a 60 billion dollar deficit this year, and deficits for at least 5 more years and growth will be much slower than expected, Flaherty went on to say the Canada is weathering the storm better than most countries(sounds like Campbell) and Flaherty finished by saying that in these uncertain economic times is no time to be playing politics. : I can`t make up this stuff, no time for politics,now that`s rich!: Read what Flaherty had to say here

Which brings me to the problem we will all be facing when we go to the polls next month.

Who the heck to vote for? There is no difference between the Liberal and the Conservatives,neither party will rein in corporate polluters,neither party will clamp down on tar sand pollution,neither party gives a damn about anything but power,Liberals/Conservatives are nothing but different sides of the same coin.

Slippery Jack,well,maybe I could cast a vote for the federal NDP, he better sharpen up his platform and kill the death tax,the Greens have Lizzy May who has no morals,she follows her nose,wherever it goes,and she also mentioned on her Christie Clark interview that federal parties "Should not run candidates against each other`s leaders --Leaders should run un-opposed"

Your a loser Lizzy May.....So there has never been a time in my lifetime when there is no one to vote for federally, I sure hope a good independent candidate runs in my riding, if not I may have to vote for slippery Jack Layton by default. But believe me,I don`t have any faith in any of the federal parties. They are all nothing but two faced liars looking out for themselves and big business.

Run of river power in BC is all but dead

Gordon Campbell`s energy sell off is failing on all accounts.

Back in 2003 out of the blue Campbell comes up with a green energy plan,his plan required by 2016 for BC to almost double it`s generating capacity,first off we never had black-outs,we always had power,what could we possibly need with all that power?

Now back at this time I wasn`t paying much attention but when I heard that BC hydro was barred by law to produce any of this power my antennae went up,why would you ban a crown corporation from making future profits for our own benefit,something was terribly wrong,how could the media totally ignore that!..........Let me repeat that, Gordon Campbell stated to the media in the legislature that BC hydro,a money making corporation was going to be barred/banned from producing any new power,and a government directive stating all new power generation must come from private for profits companies!

Is it just me or shouldn`t the media`s alarm bells have rung? Mine did.......,but boy has the worm turned,Gordon Campbell is such is dismal failure,his energy plan is all but dead.....Several things have transpired since Campbell tried to screw us, firstly,we BCers must have some friends with clout in the California senate, back when Campbell just up and sold all our rivers for 5 to 10 thousand apiece,no one told me they were for sale,I could of scraped that much together,Campbell figured he could kill our fish,ruin habitat and reward his corporate buddies,my how the mighty have fallen..........

Lets start with 2 years ago,Campbell had full coffers,surpluses,his sell off was in go mode and........Strike 1----The CRASH, The world markets tank,everyone is broke,no one can get financing,wall street,hedge funds,derivatives,everyone was screwing each other,the big boys cry for bail-outs,countries,states,towns,people,everyone is broke.....So now what,Campbell gets a reality check on how economies change.

Strike 2--Earlier this year the California senate rules that BC (proposed) run of river power isn`t green......This was a big move,the California senate ruled that the environmental footprint was too large for this power to be considered green,and the California senate also had strict wildlife requirements,especially fish.....So with the California senate ruling means that California will not pay a premium for tainted power,it would justify California buying coal power or something dirty. -----Read the story here on the California senate http://www.vancouversun.com/Technology/California+rejects+green+power+claims/1453593/story.html

So lets look at these strikes,everyone is broke,big-time broke,California lays an egg in Campbells lap,they tell him his power isn`t green and he`s killing fish,and add the fact that California is broke,why buy power for a big premium when you can buy cheap electric.....

Meanwhile the media was still silent,I mean all the BC hydro employees who left hydro to go work for Plutonic and others,surely the media must of known something was up,and not just hydro employees,ex BC Liberal government staffers were all heading to Plutonic power.

So meanwhile Plutonic power and Naikun and other private power companies are loading up the BC liberal party bank accounts,well well,I knew something was up,Campbell knew he was in trouble,his energy plan is imploding,no one is going to buy this high-priced power,everyone has been promised a huge premium for their power all backstopped by BC hydro and the tax-payers,Campbell is in panic mode,so not for one minute do I believe that the BCUC decision to reject Campbell`s green energy was a surprise to me or Campbell, his green energy plan had become completely derailed,no one to buy it and BC is too broke to absorb massive energy losses,so I believe the BCUC decision was on orders from Campbell,after all the BCUC has backed up the government on all of it`s requests so far.

Here is what I believe,Campbell doesn`t have the balls to tell Plutonic that the deals are off,so he gets the BCUC to do his bidding.

So today the five dam project was halted in the Kooteneys over the 1000 negative impact reports on wildlife,paticularly fish,all fish in the Glacier and Howser river would be dead and the people had the California senate report stating they wouldn`t buy the power,it wasn`t green,it wasn`t fish-centric and didn`t have adequate river flow for fish,so now this project has been cancelled for now,when did the ministry of the environment stop anything? read about it here--- http://www.theprovince.com/Technology/Five+proposal+West+Kooteney+riles+residents/1900603/story.html

Which brings me to Naikun wind power,Paul Taylor,Campbell`s ex deputy finance minister,then Campbell appointed Taylor to ICBC to be their CEO, and I need not remind you that Taylor was CEO through the rigged auction scandal and the chop shop scandal,he quietly slipped out to become CEO for the Naikun wind project,well Naikun is in trouble,first off they can`t get investors,the Haida have offered 250 million for a 30% equity share(which is a hell of a deal considering the cost is 2 billion for the project and 250 million is but 1/8 of the cost but 1/3 equity share) but the Haida is asking Ottawa for the money,well Ottawa is saying no,and finally the Naikun wind project will only proceed if campbell agrees to pay a super high end price for that power(wind power is expensive) but the problem with wind power,it`s unreliable,any wind power would have to go into the grid and be backstopped by BC Hydro reserves,how could we sell high priced wind power when the wind could stop and does stop all the time,wind power has to be backstopped. So Naikun needs a BC tax-payer guarantee on the power price,Naikun needs investors and money,the Haida needs the federal government to lend them money on a deal that is backstopped by the BC government which has to backstop the wind power generation with BC hydro reserve power.





You see that California could never rely on Naikun wind power,what happens when the wind stops,and trust me,the windiest places in BC don`t always blow....read about Naikun here

So Campbell has been a financial disaster,even his giveaways have backfired,so it is my belief that Campbell is squashing his own green energy plan,he is getting the BCUC to do the dirty work, as for that little blurb in the throne speech talking about Burrard thermal and the BCUC that was nothing but posturing.





Which brings me back to the media,something funny going on,Baldrey,Palmer,Smyth,everyone of them are mad at the government,mad about the HST,the deficit shocker,all the lies,yet the media,Palmer,Baldrey,Smyth all three of them are pro private power,in fact all 3 of them are pushing the government to over-rule the BCUC and jam private power down our throats,why.....I have been asking myself why,and the only thing I can think of is this,those three clowns hang around the legislature,they knew Campbell was flogging and promoting private power,they knew hydro workers and BC Liberals insiders were joining Plutonic and others in droves,well these IPPs are publicly traded companies,perhaps the three wise men or stooges have a different motivation,could it be the the legislative reporting team have perhaps invested money in private power?

Turn out the lights,the party is over

Having returned from paradise refreshed and angrier than ever.

I glanced at Vaughn Palmer`s columns,he`s been busy,I give him credit for finally writing something worth reading,but where were you last year? Where was Smyth,Baldrey,I`m confused,how can I of known about the 3.6 billion$$ deficit,rising unemployment,plummeting provincial revenues!

Here you big media types with research departments,access to politicians,expense accounts etc etc,and you all failed,yet I and many other cultists and internet readers were well aware of what was going on,I`m not going to rub your faces in it but.........Vaughn/Smyth/Baldrey/Vancouver sun editorial board,Global/CTV......Your all a bunch of losers!

The Blogospere had it right,Will McMartin had it right,the best and the brightest in the last few years were average joes.....Average Joes like G West/Ed Deak/Zalm/BC Mary/Shreck/Ross K/and hundreds of others who I have left out,explain to me how average people knew about what was going on but big media slumbered? Sorry Vaughn,a little late then never doesn`t cut it,this is life we`re talking about not some silly little game,and believe me,your all guilty of dereliction of duty,you should be fired for incompetence!

So what did I miss in the last week-Apparently Vaughn Palmer,Michael Smyth,Baldrey,and other media have been getting a rough ride from Campbell and his cronies,from what I have read is that the Campbell gang doesn`t like answering questions,and when the media persists Campbell has gotten unruly.............Is that so Vaughn,well too bad,Campbell hasn`t been answering questions for 8 years,question period is a joke,budget estimates are a joke,and the media in this province is the biggest joke of all,what the heck did you media expect,you have been doing nothing but licking Campbell`s boots for years,all of you have permanent boot polish on your tongues and it will take years for it dissolve.

So lets deal in facts,Campbell has doubled our BC debt(so far) Campbell has run the three largest deficits in BC history,9 of 13 years under Campbell will be deficits.

So what items stand out like a sore thumb(well everything stands out) --Let me be more specific,Colin(Campbell`s organ grinding monkey)Hansen,was asked for a list of all the groups that have had funding cuts,Colin Hansen refused to supply the list,Hansen told the media wait until july/2010/...........Sorry Hansen,that answer isn`t good enough,Vaughn,Smyth,I expect you to keep asking until he answers,until Campbell answers,and lets be perfectly clear,if Hansen and Campbell won`t answer that question today,you make sure Campbell and Monkey boy know that the same questions will be asked at every opportunity,including every olympic press conference,you can avoid the questions now or look red-faced with the world media here,call it a threat Vaughn/Smyth.....Because that is the only thing Campbell understands,well what is it going to be Vaughn/Smyth......Are you going to find your balls and pursue or are you clowns going to join the monastery,there is no middle ground.

asked repeatedly for the hard data on the HST from Hansen and the ministry of finance only to be told no......This hard data about the HST would be ---Detailed tables of how much each sector pays in PST,how much each sector will save,how much will it cost the consumer,it`s time for the Campbell government to show us the hard data.......You keep asking Mccinnes,and Hansen will keep on stalling.

Here is the deal Vaughn on the HST.......Let me spell it out,remember the carbon/gas tax? Campbell`s phony earth shattering,world saving carbon tax.....Campbell didn`t bring the bill/legislation up for debate in the house,no sirree bob,what did Campbell and his cronies do,they rammed through 7 bills in 11 minutes without debate in the last hour of the last day in the 2008 spring session......And why did Campbell do that? Because Campbell had no data to back up his claims,no emission targets,Campbell didn`t have one shred of evidence to prove the carbon tax would do anything.

So let me layout the Campbell game plan on the HST........remember the carbon tax,Campbell will do the exact same thing,the legislation on the HST is not being brought forward during the fall session at the legislature,and here`s the news flash,the legislation won`t be brought in during the spring session at the legislature,it will be rammed through the legislature during the last hour of the last day without debate---The reason?---Because the hard data on the HST doesn`t exist,the big business saving are being exaggerated,the only data available is that consumers will be paying a couple of thousand extra each year and prices won`t drop,the HST is a fraud,so you keep asking Vaughn................Vaughn Palmer....I would like you to ask Campbell and Hansen a direct question ..."Are you going to ram through the HST via the guillotine in the legislature,without debate,?"

Because here we are,a province with a lame duck leader,a lame duck party,not one honest Liberal in the bunch,liars,con men,and muted zombies,that is the BC Liberal party,devoid of any idea`s,Campbell who is stuck on a treadmill,he is unable to create any new revenue streams,he is unable to deal with the corporate world,Campbell is a stupid man but a brilliant LIAR,the corporate world has bought the Liberal party,Campbell is not in control,Encana gas,teck cominco,Rio tinto are in charge.

There aren`t many highlights in this years massive fudget budget,the deficit....3.55 billion Dollars$$...I know thet media have been saying 2.8 billion$ deficit,but that number is wrong,750 million dollars of the 1.6 billion$ federal bribe is being applied,so the deficit is.....

3.55 billion$$$....The biggest deficit in BC history,what to talk about,a little pullback on the HST,utilities will be exempted,the first crack to the pressure on the anti HST crowd,a few chippy tax cuts and even those are being taken back with MSP premiums rising,and they will rise every year to meet the meager budget increases to health....

So now,all future health budget increases will be tied to MSP premiums,dollar for dollar,the Campbell isn`t increasing the health budget,you are!

Cuts to the ministry of the environment,what the hell,they only need a rubber stamp,cut em some more!

Cuts,discretionary cuts,I love the flip flop today over gaming grants to the arts,yesterday they were told their 3 year funding agreements they had with the province are null and void,today Coleman backed down to the groups that had the three year funding promises.....Change of heart from Campbell or Coleman....HA...Not likely,these groups sought legal advice,well apparently gaming revenue,percentage wise has to be delegated to these groups and the three year promissory notes are legal contracts,after they threatened to sue the province got legal advice and were told they would lose...HA Ha....great news for some groups,but the majority of these outfits will get nothing.

The legal and moral contract Campbell has with the public has been broken,the BCLC use the fact that monies go to community groups as a selling point,there is a moral clause in using these funds,also the expansion of gaming was predicated on extra monies going to these groups,.....Campbell,a dirty low down slug.

Which brings me to the biggest fraud in the fudget budget.......

Lets set the stage,back in 2008 a committee looked into all-day daycare for 5 year olds,the costs,needs with staff and space,the committee came to the conclusion that to get the all day kindergarten up and running would require 500 million dollars$$$.....a thousand new staff to be hired and building space would be needed........Read the story here.

So up comes the re-announcement of all day kindergarten,so whats the deal? Well,first off school boards were cut short of funding before the election,every school district faced big cuts(again)....Well,every year schools would get monies for refurbishment,the money spread around to all the schools was used for re-surfacing gymnasiums,playgrounds,maintenance,usually these expenditures take place over the summer,when school is out and thus won`t cause disruptions to class and the regular curriculum.........

So here we had a report in 2008 done by the Campbell gang that stated all day kindergarten needs 500 million to get up and running,they announce in the budget that 151 million will be put up for all day kindergarten for 5-year-olds...Hmmmm

So here we have an announcement of funding that is less then 1/3 rd of the amount required,but it gets worse,because at the same time the Campbell gang has cancelled the 110 million $$ amount that was going to schools throughout the province for their yearly maintenance,so this work,the majority has been done already will have to get paid from somewhere else in the school budget......

So here`s the deal,the daycare con needs 500 million,the province coughs up 151$ million but at the same time the province takes away 110 million in maintenance money....So we won`t get daycare set up,we won`t get maintenance done,.....Well you can bet the ministry of education will blame the NO-CARE on the greedy teachers.........The "Gordon Giver" strikes again.

The Politician is deranged,gordon Campbell isn`t a man,he is a weak lying dirt bag,bill Good can kiss his feet,Baldrey can apologize,Sean Holman can drift into (any Campbell is better than the NDP mode),sorry Sean,you have gone mainstream,your loyalty and fear of annoying the rabblers have taken your teeth away,how`s that Norman Specter handshake Sean? Warm,comfy,another year of NDP bashing and Campbell butt sniffing you`ll be ready for prime-time CKNW spot ........

The changes that are the subject of this paper followed amendments to the Workers` Compensation Act {the "act"} in 2002-Bills 49 and 63,the Workers` Compensation Amendment Act (no1 and no.2). The purpose of this report is to assess and report on the impact of these changes on injured workers and on the Workers` Compensation board of B.C. ("WCB")

Since the changes have been extremely negative,we have often been asked whether it is time for labour to depart from the "historical compromise" underlying the compensation system.Our view is that the compensation system is an important benefit for injured workers-Financial,vocational and medical. It is also an important part of the regulation of safety in the workplace. As such,it is worth understanding and defending.

Nevertheless, there is no doubt that in B.C. the compensation system has been seriously undermined by the changes since 2002.In this report,we try to identify these key changes and the nature of their impact on injured workers. However,we also attempt to restate the fundamental principles and provide key recommendations for restoring a balanced and socially valuable system. Also,while we state that the WCB`s decision-making has become anti-worker, we do not suggest that this view describes all WCB officers. We do not understand that at the highest levels, the goal of cost reduction has resulted in legislation and WCB policy that has been used to confine or eliminate the discretion of individual WCB decision-makers. To the extent that adjudicative choice still exists,we believe that the cost-cutting message consistently communicated by the government and WCB administrations since 2002 has actively encouraged officers to deny or limit worker claims,effectively creating a "culture of denial" We appreciate that even in this punitive atmosphere,some officers are still trying to adjudicate fairly and humanely.

We dedicate this report to the injured workers who have stepped forward to provide their stories, the union that have supported these difficult claims and to the workers` compensation advocates who deal with the daily frustrations of working in a system that has become more inaccessible,ineffective and unfair: An insult to injured workers.

{Executive Summary}

Since 2002,substantial changes have been made to the laws and policies that govern the workers` compensation system in B.C. Those changes were driven by an employer lobby advancing the view that the system had become economically unsustainable. While the premise amounted to myth,the changes were real and profound and based upon no discernable principle other that that of reducing employers` costs. In that regard,they were very successful,but at a significant cost to workers` benefits and treatment under that system.

The authors endorse a set of principles upon which a modern workers` compensation system should operate,as a context in which to access these developments,their effects on injured workers,and to consider corrective actions, These principles are set out in our recommendations.

The combination of legislative amendments,ongoing policy revision,and structural changes has resulted in:

• reduction of benefits rates from 75% of gross income to 90% of net income,resulting in a net reduction of benefits by 13%:


• reduction of consumer price index("CPI")indexing of pensions to the rate of CPI increases less 1% and to a cap of 4% in any year,and calculated only once per year rather than twice:


• restrictions on the manner of determining a worker`s wage rate,primarily to earnings in 12 months prior to injury instead of a flexible or discretionary method,with special prejudice to new,casual and seasonal workers:


• wage rates determinations early in a claim,leaving errors uncorrectable when applied later to pensions:


• restrictions on compensation for psychological injuries (no coverage for gradual onset conditions,requirement of "unexpected" cause,exclusion of conditions from actions from employers):


• restrictions on compensation for permanent chronic pain and similar conditions(to 2.5% for functional pensions,non-acceptance as barrier to employment):


• virtual elimination of pensions based on actual long-term losses of earnings as a result of various policy and procedural barriers to having the worker`s loss of earnings accessed:


• Inadequate functional pensions(no longer payable for life:no review of permanent functional impairment(PFI) Assessment schedules):


• Virtual elimination of vocational rehabilitation assistance:


• delegation of power to board of directors to enact binding policy,resulting in removal of direction in decision-making processes(decisions determined by policy rules,rather than on the "Merits and justice" of the case) and concentration of power in board of directors:


• unfriendly and inaccessible appeal processes that have become technical,complicated and difficult to understand,with limited jurisdiction,and

A worsening "culture of denial" throughout the adjudicative and appellate processes.

The Authors identify the shift of focus from the circumstances of workers to cost reduction for employers,and the removal of discretionary decision-making through the delegation of binding policy powers as fundamental to these changes,and identify the most extreme consequences as the effective elimination of loss of earnings pensions and the virtual elimination of vocational rehabilitation services. The authors further endorse recommendations designed to return to a principled and effective compensation system responsive to the needs of injured workers.

Summary of recommendations

• 1. Amend the workers` compensation act to entrench the following principles:


• Entitlement to compensation for workplace injuries should be regardless of fault:


• There should be security and speed of payment of compensation benefits without need for court process:


• The adjudication and administration of a compensation system should be independent:


• All costs of a compensation system should be borne by industry:


• Compensation and rehabilitation of injured workers,along with the prevention of workplace injury,are the foundations of a modern workers` compensation system:


• Injured workers and their dependents should be entitled to full compensation for loss of earnings and earning capacity caused or significantly contributed by any work-caused injury,condition or disease:


• Entitlement to and determination of benefits should be with full and fair assessment based on the worker`s circumstances,consistent with the principles of the charter and human rights legislation:


• A worker should be entitled to benefits where that worker`s compensable disability has diminshed his or hers earnings or earning capacity,taking into account all of the consequences of those injuries and all of the worker`s own circumstances,The worker`s own evidence of those consequences and circumstances must be given due weight:and

Injured workers are entitled to be treated with dignity and respect throughout their dealing with the adjudicative and appellate processes of the compensation system,and such processes should be readily accessible and easily understood by workers,Adjudicative and appellate processes should focus on evidence decision making and the appeal process should provide ready and comprehensive correction of errors:

1. Amend the Workers` compensation Act to base all benefits on 100% of a worker`s net earnings.


2. Amend the Workers` compensation Act to adjust benefits according to consumer price index every 6 months.


3. Amend the Workers` compensation Act to provide for flexible establishment of wage rates that fairly reflect an injured worker`s earning capacity and actual economic loss.


4. Amend the Workers` compensation Act to ensure long-term wage rate on a claim can be reconsidered or appealed at the time of any permanent pension decision.


5. Repeal section 5.1 of the Workers` compensation Act


6. Amend the Workers` compensation Act to provide that chronic pain is to be assessed and compensated like other disabilities


7. Require the board to establish specific guidelines for compensation for permanent impairment for chronic pain conditions,ranging from 0-100%


8. Amend the WCB Act to repeal section 23)3 and 23(3.1)


9. Require board of directors to repeal policy # 40.00 and revise its pension policy.


10. Amend the Act to provide that PFI pensions are for life of the worker.

Re Virtual elimination of loss of earnings pensions

The following statistics show the dramatic change in the number of loss of earnings pensions awarded.

Prior to 2002,the WCB awarded an average of 970 loss of earnings(LOE) pensions per year between 2000-2003. As the new ACT and policy took effect,the WCB considered a similar number of permanently injured workers(about 1,500 per year) and awarded the following loss of earnings pensions:

2006- 39 LOE pensions

2007 -60 LOE pensions

• Under the former ACT,the usual ratio was one loss of earnings pension for every 4.2 functional awards(2000-2007). Under the new ACT/policy the ratio is one loss of earnings pension for every 122 functional awards.

The effect of the new ACT and policy was to reduce loss of earnings pensions by well over 90%

RE Virtual elimination of real vocational rehabilitation

• Between 2002 and 2005,the board`s expenditures for vocational rehabilitation (VR) benefits went from 130,490,000 to 1,550,000.


• The 2005 VR expenditure is 1.2% of the 2002 expenditures,a staggering reduction of 98.8%


• In 2006, VR expenditures increased to 3,627,000 but that still represents only 2.8% of the 2002 expenditures.

Re Surplus for the Workers` compensation board

Now despite declining employer assessments,the WCB has a growing surplus.In 2005,the board had a surplus of 474$ million.The surplus grew to 987$ million in 2006.

The story of Grant G....The carpenter...

April 14th/2002---While working about 18feet up on an extension ladder inside a large wharehouse,polished concrete,labourer John left the ladder while Grant was working overhead,the concrete being polished was very slippery,John should never of left the ladder,next thing you know a 220lb Grant comes crashing to the ground only to meet the concrete with his left leg,the ankle literally bent over backwards and shattered,.......

Well,now what,911,great paramedics and go racing off to Surrey memorial,after being ex-rayed,medicated,a fine looking doctor,an orthopedic specialist Dr. Malloon told Grant that his ankle is shattered in pieces,and the likelyhood of a normal recovery is bleak,well,Grant G being the way he is told Dr. Malloon,"Hey,it`s not your fault,do what you can"

Anyways,4 days later surgery began,his original surgical plan he aborted halfway through because,well his plan wouldn`t work,he went plan B.......He knitted the bones together,6 screws,and attatched an external extruding bar which he screwed into the shin then attached the external bar to 6 pins in the ankle......Lovely job,felt a little like Steve Austin.....

Well,back at home recovering,pain like you wouldn`t believe,bring on the meds,well after suffering for weeks the leg started to hurt less,then like a light switch it really starting hurting,well,back to Surrey memorial to check on things,after some tests and ultra-sounds they told Grant G that he had bloodclots in the lower left leg,sheesh,now what,well,apparently these clots can be fatal,so now I get these stomach shots of tinzaparin everyday to thin my blood,then a 6 month regimin of warfarin blood thinners......

So now wheel chair bound for 6 months,a metal leg attatchment right-out of the Transformer movie,blood thinners and one gimpy looking leg,let the games begin with WCB.....

My first Voc-re-hab worker ruled out a return to construction and reccommended computer training,What the hell is a computer? Anyways she got promptly fired and gave me a new voc-re-hab worker,my new worker suggested a return to construction on light duty and to get a first-aid ticket......

Well I argued,I stated there is no such thing as light duty in construction and my leg is hooped....WCB insisted I get the first-aid course or be cut-off.....Well,lets take first-aid then.......

I showed up at St.Johns first aid course,I was told have a seat and fill out forms,one form being a medical release.....I had to get my doctor to sign a release stating I can carry a man on a stretcher out of an excavation or up stairs,I explained to the first aid course people what was going on and left,my doctor wouldn`t sign because I couldn`t do it,not to mention endangering injured workers by falsifying a medical release.....

Well I was immediately cut-off of benefits,I appealed and WCB backed off on the last day of the appeal,the months I have been spied on,followed every where I go.....Meanwhile knowing my leg is screwed I asked for training at BCIT,several 2 year courses were denied,another employment assessment and my brand-new voc-re-hab said you got 2 choices,dump truck driver or excavator operator.......

I went to the union in Burnaby and wrote a pre-liminary exacavator exam on paper then met with representatives of the industry,they explained to me that my age was a factor,the leg was definately a factor against being an operator,but they said the fact that I was blind in my right eye there was no way they would train me,I would be a danger other workers.......So game over.....or was it

I informed WCB of the results of the meeting and was told by my worker that it doesn`t matter,they enrolled me in a private cash school for ecavator training

Well,I argued that neither was suitable,my leg can`t clutch and peddle,well,it was take it or leave it and be cut off again......Well,lets be a excavator operator......A 10 week course,first week my leg got worse,second week even more so, third week I found leg all swollen up and all of a sudden I couldn`t breathe......I limped out of excavator school and went to the hospital,I could hardly breathe and was hacking up blood.....

Well,after ultra sounds,cat scan,they discovered my left shattered leg had reclotted with blood clots only this time the blood clots got out and in my lungs(pulmonary Embolism) 40% death rate with those.......Well, I managed to call my voc-re-hab worker and informed her that I had a pulmonary embolisim and wouldn`t be returning to school......

Well after almost dying three times in the hospital,I got a little better,my lungs ached,permanately scarred from the embolism,back on warfarin,only now on warfarin for life......

I get home a week later,barely kicking,only to discover that WCB had cut me off of all benefits the day I entered the hospital,a letter followed from WCB saying that the blood clots and pulmonary embolism had nothing to do with with my leg injury,in other words,GET LOST

I appealed and won,or did I.......My leg is a permanent injury,my lungs are permanately injured,I have to take warfarin for life,my restrictions are no prolonged walking,standing,not to stress the leg,and new restrictions because of the left leg,no prolonged sitting,no more than 2 hours at a time,elevate the leg many times a a day.......

So after another WCB employment assessment and a brand-new voc-re-hab worker they come at me again....No excavator,no first aid,no construction,they class me with disabilities at 25%.......Yet the employment assessment states that Grant G,with a little training,a mobile head set,a special chair,an adjustable table and a employer who will grant 6 to 8 breaks a day to elevate your leg ,you can be a dispatcher with no loss of earnings...............

So there`s the story, a ticketed journeyman carpenter with damaged lungs,chronic pain,blind in one eye,lifetime warfarin....life tossed upside down....and here is 2 weeks training no go be a dispatcher,no top ups,no guarantees nothing........

The government of Canada after an oral hearing with three doctors ruled Grant G disabled retro=active to the date of injury and WCB won`t recognize Canada disability,Taxi-dispatch was paying 8.00$ per hour,alarm dispatchers paid 10.00$ per hour,911/police/ambulance,trucking,any quality dispatch job required post secondary education that was denied.......

20 years of working with no claims,one good injury and WCB screws you,for all the life altering injuries they pay Grant G 400.00$ per month........He`s on appeal number 14, a room full of letters from WCB re-habs,case mangers,a dozen medical opinion`s from WCB doctors who have never seen me once.........hundreds of WCB staff were let go in 2002,the survivors were told tow the line or be gone,my story and hundreds of other happen everyday......

Stub your toe,break a finger,need a stitch,you get paid,get mangled for life lose your career,ruin your leg,your lungs,take rat poison everyday,elevate your leg,give up your sports,your future,only to be treated like dirt by WCB,bankrupted,followed,demeaned,there is a tragic story unfolding at Worksafe BC..........

Yet the media is afraid to tackle the issue,WCB breaks laws,endangers workers,flaunts rules and regulations,their goal is to pay nothing,that`s the story,there have been many suicides,family break-ups,people turning to the streets,like everything Gordon Campbell has put his hands on leaves a wake of victims........

Grant G will battle on,like the Iraqi reporter who threw his shoe at George Bush,I would like to throw my dead foot at Gordon Campbell,toe jam and all!

Would the leader of the NDP please stand up

One thing is quite apparent,nothing for the Campbell Liberals will change,questions won`t be answered,details will be foggy and Liberal MLAs will be there in body only,it`s quite amazing how the new Liberals can`t answer a question on cuts to their respective ministries or answer the simplest of questions yet everyone of them can recite the dismal 90s song,

The Campbell Liberals are devoid of any life,a tired failed politician micro manages the party into lame duck status,Colin Hansen and Campbell have been doing their best to explain time lines,when did you know what,who said when,where,we talked with the feds but we always talk to the feds so trust us,my nephews come up with more convincing lies than Campbell and Hansen do,so let the media play their little game of doubting the government for a week.

Lets face facts,Campbell lied about the debt,lied about the HST,lied about everything,but lets look at the bigger problem,we have a ruling party that won`t answer questions from the courts,the public or the opposition and this has been going on for years,the claim of prudent management skills has been officially debunked,high employment numbers,GDP growth,wage levels,and now taxation hits,there are no bragging rights left in the BC Liberal party,9 of 13 years will be deficits,the BC debt will have more than doubled from 32 billion in 2001 to over 64 billion in 2012.........Which brings me to the big question,which NDPer is willing to step up and lead the party,Carole James,I admire your service and respect the fighting you have done but it`s time,time to step down,you couldn`t carry the message,the bar was set so low from Campbell and you still couldn`t drag enough voters away from the Liar.

Who is waiting in the wings,having watched the local bunch of MLAs in Victoria ask questions for years only to be ignored by government and by the media,Adrian Dix,the man knows his file and is passionate but,leadership is not in his calling,Mike Farnsworth,strong,intelligent,fairly good speaker but again,not enough savvy to carry it home......

Which brings me to a real bright light for the NDP,Herbert Spencer,the man is a clear,articulate voice that resonates,no backdown,no hesitation, a clear voice with an easy message,easy to hear and understand,but lets make no bones about it,he is their brightest new light but leadership isn`t coming his way,so who`s left?

John Horgan,MLA from Juan de Fuca......The man is the "Unassuming lion" for the NDP......

He carry`s real room presence,he is very charming,fast wit,a quick study,great sense of humour,he speaks in clear terms,the man doesn`t waffle,he has good re pore with the media,he is shown as much or more respect as any NDP MLA from the Liberals,as far as I am concerned John Horgan is the only leader they have,the contest for government starts now,time for Carole to step aside,time to start labeling the Liberals as constant liars,fiscal nincompoops,morally bankrupt.....

Everyone of those items is there ,low-hanging fruit, stand up John Horgan,the next election should be starting today,the formula for success is simple,recall of the premier in his point grey riding is a must,Gordon Campbell must be reminded daily that recall legislation and 1000s of volunteers are waiting for the clock to start on recalling Campbell......Every week the press must be gathered and reminded of the financial boondoggles,reminded of the growing debts,9 of 13 years in deficit,the bar is set very low right now,

We need to remind the public of BC Rail,remind the public about each IPP power project that will cost us money,we need to see video of raw logs leaving the province everyday,we need to see food bank line-ups,we need to hear about the demise of wild salmon,what we don`t need is you wasting time on question period,ask the media the questions.let the media ask your questions in the hallway,you have a short window to grab the electorate,don`t squander the momentum,hammer it home,lies,deficits,corruption,fiscal idiots,recall,referendums,complete independent audits,Campbell and the Liberals need to feel the heat,the pressure,the threat of investigations into forest giveaways,river sales,energy contracts,Campbell needs to govern in fear,meanwhile I wait for the next leader of the NDP to stand up.

Nothing on the horizon for BC under Campbell

Contemplating the future for B.C. is rather a depressing daydream, 9 years of Gordon Campbell and nothing to show but a dysfunctional province,never at anytime in history has BC been so dependent upon outside factors.



The one bright spot for Campbell was natural gas royalties,as a province we did make money but not near enough,too many large subsidies when they were rolling in dough,now that the gas market has tanked we`re offering a 2% royalty rate?



Forestry has been slow y dying in this province,mills have been closing for years and some of the closures are from world downturns but not so in BC,we have a had a massive spike of raw log exports,up 1600 % over the last few years,there has been no effort to reverse this trend,we should be promoting small micro companies, The big three or two in forestry has been a dismal failure ,well before world markets collapsed BC forestry has been in free fall,mill after mill shift after shift the industry bled while Campbell liberals looked on as spectators, meanwhile raw log exports continued to rise,can your eyes be blind,the two lines on a chart can`t co-exist,raw logs export growing and local work drying up,the cycle is broken,without milling means no pulp,without log export restrictions the industry will slow bleed,.

A total hands off approach that has failed,oil n gas,the Campbell gang has zero control,make big money when prices spike and cry poverty when gas values tank,with the glut of natural gas the prices looks to remain low for years,Campbell has no plan B to replace this income,all his eggs for revenue put in one basket.

Mining will ebb and flow,commodity prices will dictate activity,we have seen the BC Liberals turn our province into a spectator,this ideology, this ingrained policy of a hands off privatization,a total failure,where is the long term plan,couldn`t we usa a railway,a provincial owned gas company,more energy production,has this provincial government done anything to secure future revenue streams? A Campbell led government that is completely devoid of thought,a lie filled election,a fraudulent win and when this group of geniuses get together and come up a scheme with what Campbell describes as

"The best thing he can do for the economy is bring in a 1.9 billion$$ yearly consumer tax hike"

The lowest minimum wage in Canada,we are officially in last place today,we had the carbon tax create a low income carbon credit,now we will have another tax that will add another stipend to the poor in the form of the HST low income credit,how can any tax plan where the poor have to be helped out in the form of a stipend be anything but regressive,a 2 billion dollar provincial claw scrapping away consumer spending power.

Boy could we use some more crown corporations,like a railway the was making over a 100 million per year,a natural gas company that was making 100s of millions per year,or if even half the run of rivers were provincially owned,imagine what these revenue streams could do for our province.

The final acts of a desperate government devoid of any ideas on how to move forward,an assault upon the poor and middle class,a blatant regressive tax borne by the public,a tax that will cost the province,short term gain for long term pain.

The two week party that no-one cares about,expo 86 was a 6 month show that showcased our province in summer,the 2010 games are 2 weeks in winter in BC,what does that mean,probably 2 weeks of of rain,drizzle,overcast,damp depressing weather,is anyone talking about the Bejiing games anymore? A 2 week rainfest that will come and go with a minor whimper on the world stage of events,and we BCers we be left with the bills,the clean-up, the hangover,world leaders,sponsors,the media,they will be all gone ......

When we take our streets back after the games and resume our path forward we will find an empty horizon,a government devoid of thought,no future plan,no revenue sources,no human right standards,employment standards,a bleak picture forward,highest child poverty,lowest minimum wage,the largest deficits,doubling of our provincial debts,daily shootings,endless lawsuits.

I wouldn` expect any highlights this afternoon in our budget,it will be devoid of any data,any charts or any hope,there will be continued excuse making on how this debt snuck up on us, premier butterfly and Hansen will offer nothing but a bleak forecast,Campbell will defend his government`s record,the media will offer mild praise,and so Campbell`s legacy will leave this province in thus the same way in entered,massive deficits,an erosion of services,child poverty leaders,seniors and the underclass reeling from cuts,middle class society hammered and hurt, a sad day indeed,4 more years of nothing,4 more years of erosion,4 more years of no dreams,4 more years to be led astray and lied to,4 more years to forget the last 8 years of nothing,I have been analysing Campbell`s legacy over recent days,what he maybe remembered for....

Gordon Campbell,the legacy of nothing,he will be known as the politician,the man who did everyone,the man who accomplished nothing,built nothing memorable,resided over the biggest deficits,grew the debt the fastest, sold the most assets,gave away the revenue streams,grew the most poor,he won`t be talked about,he will go the way of of the 1919 Spanish flu pandemic,100s of millions died, the future was bleak,towns and cities had dead wagons roll in and take away the nightly victims who succumbed to the sickness....

A time so horrible that the history wanted to forget it,it happened,the horror was unspeakable,that will be the legacy of Gordon Campbell,a time to forget,a time that was put on hold,Gordon Campbell,a politician`s legacy of nothingness,a legacy of deceit,a legacy of willful disdain,a legacy of pain,of hurt,a legacy of humanity lost a legacy that time has already forgotten,the legacy of Gordon Campbell, a politician,no more no less, BC 2001 --2013 the land of no horizon.

Why Translink is going broke fast

What the heck is going on with Translink? There are two dynamics at play with Translink.

First off the Campbell Liberals are downloading responsibilities of the ministry of transportation upon Translink,here are some examples of the downloading,why is Translink having to pay to build overpasses in Langley,why did Translink have to pay for the major repair on the patullo bridge after the fire,why did they have to pay for re-paving the patullo bridge,why indeed? At present there are NO busses that even cross the patullo bridge,and buses haven`t crossed that bridge for years,so why are Translink paying for it?

The Golden ears bridge--A so-called P3....Ha....I have tried to get the car crossing numbers but they are being hidden and I know why,heck,it`s the only major crossing without a traffic cam on it,why is that,I can view all the other bridges but not the Golden ears bridge.

Here`s why,this phony private partnership is a fraud.....Here`s the deal,right now Translink is paying the private operator of the Golden ears bridge a 500.000.00$ per month fee,and the rises to $4 million per month in 2011.....And then rises to $4.8 million per month in 2015.....Plus Translink is paying the Golden ears bridge private operator 316.000.00$ per month for maintenance for the next 25 years......Plus,Translink has to collect the tolls,pay the administration costs and ICBC is being used also as a de facto collection agency,if you don`t pay you can`t get insurance or drivers license renewal if you owe toll money.

What kind of a phony P3 is that?(taxpayers have all the risk) So we pay a huge premium for a P3 and we have the only risk....Sheesh

Which bring me to the much hyped Canada line

Besides the Canada line being over 1 billion over budget---The original approved budget that was voted on by the council of mayors(after an arm twisted third vote) was $ 1.35 billion....Which later got bumped up to $1.5 billion dollars.....Well that cost ballooned to 2.5 billion minimum,yet Campbell and the Liberals claim it`s on budget....HA

Here`s the deal on the Canada line,another phony P3......Translink has guaranteed to pay the so-called private operator fees up and until the Canada line gets 100.000 paying riders daily.

Let me repeat that,Translink is paying the private operator the shortfall,and will continue to pay until ridership reaches 100.000 paying riders daily......

Well,right now the Canada is getting about 70.000 daily riders.......So lets get our math going.......30.000 X 4.00$ = 120.000.00 per day subsidy----X 30 = 3.6 million$ per month X 12 = 43.200.000.00 $ dollars per year......Thats right....Translink is going to be subsidizing the so-called private operator over 43 million per year.....Say What !

But it`s far worse than that.......Because the ridership is being artificially inflated,Translink is funnelling people fron White rock-Delta-Surrey.....Their once express buses that went from those towns directly to downtown Vancouver are now going to divert to bridgeport Station in Richmond,besides artificially propping up ridership numbers,and inconveniencing riders forcing them to make two extra transfers..........

But it`s a muggs game----Here is a short explanation,if you think funnelling riders to the Canada line is a great way to get the ridership number up to the 100.000 mark,thus eliminating the subsidies Translink has to pay to the private operator. LOL....HA HA......

Because it`s a con-----The subsidies will still be there even if the ridership gets propped up because.........

People aren`t paying again when they get on the Canada line at bridgeport skytrain station,no sirree bob,people have already purchased their bus ticket in the form of a two zone or three zone ticket,or monthly pass,or faresaver tickets.......So Translink will continue to con the public,phony up the numbers and the subsidies will continue on the Canada line for at least a decade or more,so again,another phony P3 where the builder,the private operator have zero risk and everything is backstopped bt the BC taxpayers.

And that`s why Translink is coming dipping into your pocket with the car levy(coming this fall) increased property taxes and fuel increases.

And lets not forget the massive premium were paying to have a P3 do the project.
