Trump succeeding in his 2nd term as US president was never in the cards, mass unpopularity and American voter regret, world regret was always going to be the outcome of another Trump presidency.
Trump, a lame duck president with 3 years still left in his term to wreak havoc, exact revenge, rewrite history while lighting the world on fire...the phrase "Wag the dog" comes to mind while writing this..
Trump's DOJ will never release the Epstein files, deadlines have come and gone, the effort to shield Trump from his Epstein related crimes make Watergate cover-up look like a typing error, it's obvious to everyone outside of the dwindling maga cult that there is a coordinated Whitehouse ordered effort to shield Trump.
A guaranteed midterm loss is coming for Trump....That is, if elections aren't cancelled by Trump, he's mused about cancelling midterms already, he openly asked every red state to gerrymander ridings to give him more seats, and even with that, he's so hated by the people that gerrymandering won't work, the people, even the great red-state unwashed know Trump sold them out for the $billionaire class...
That was always my fear, a lame-duck Trump with 3 years left to push the executive buttons, 3 years to order around a military, 3 years left to shit on everybody...Dementia, anger, revenge is all Trump has left to offer America....Mike Johnson and GOP controlled Congress abdicated all their power to Trump, the Supreme Court, they gave Trump an all encompassing get out of jail free card.....
Have you noticed, big media has stopped talking about the illegal flaunting of the law in regards to releasing the Epstein files...Trump's Venezuela tail wagging and Greenland war drumming have seem to have done the trick(for now)
Venezuela oil verses Alberta oil
Once again, Trump is an economic moron, always was, always will be....Trump The Liar...That will be Trump's history books moniker, ...Trump during his election campaign claimed the US had more liquid gold under under their feet than the world combined, and how he was going to Drill baby Drill....I don't think his moron base thought he was talking about Venezuela....
To be clear, currently there is an oil glut and the world price is low, oil companies are not reaping huge profits of times gone by, many are hanging on hoping the oil price rebounds, in other words...
Oil companies are not interested in spending tens of $billions to ramp up heavy tar oil from Venezuela..There is no profit in it...It's the same quality of oil that comes from Alberta...
What is the world oil price today....
$56.03 a barrel....However, Alberta oil price gets discounted to the Americans....

In other words, the big heavy oil refineries in Texas won't be saving any money by switching to Venezuela oil...Big oil companies would have to shut off already established supply and investment they've already made in Alberta and spend countless $billions in Venezuela, takes many years to replicate the supply chain they've already established...
The Big oil companies, like the people of the world are having to wait the 2nd Trump term out...
I have mused to myself, will Trump threaten the oil companies to do his "Get Revenge On Canada"(Because Melania lusted after Trudeau and Canada said fuck off to his 51st state rhetoric)....Trump, by threatening Big Oil to replace established Canadian oil supply to Venezuela supply or ...or what?
Also, with the world oil glut the players that be are not interested in flooding the market with more oil, in fact Big Oil has been patiently waiting for their turn to scalp the consumer with(In Big Oil's opinion) oil price spikes, a very regular occurrence in the oil market...

The US already has access to Greenland rare earths, they can invest and partner up with Greenland for more access, the US already has a Greenland base, and access, the Americans already have Greenland in that sense...So, once again, is this about scaring Canada into becoming the 51st state, is the Greenland threat, the Venezuela oil theft all about targeting Canada?

Big Oil has more profitable ventures afoot and is not interested in partnering up with a Venezuela regime controlled by Trump and the US government..
The title of this post, "The Waiting Game".....Canada's rightwing corporate media are sounding the alarm demanding the Canadian government start approving and funding oil pipelines to counter Trump's Venezuela oil coup pronto, as in we can't wait....
My advice to Marc Carney....You have to wait, the world will have to wait, either Trump is brought to heel by a new congress and sanity restored with a neutered Trump or .....
Or it doesn't matter, Greenland, Venezuela, Columbia, Panama, Mexico, Canada will all be absorbed by a emboldened warring USA...
And if the USA goes down Trump's personal vengeance rabbit holes and doesn't return to some form of democratic sanity, it will matter not what we do, or don't do...
Trump doesn't have the people behind him, Americans are not interested in Trump's world domination, at least not while prices and affordability have become untethered as to what the masses can afford.
There is nothing we Canadians can do to stop Trump's insanity...
