By promising balanced budgets they are lying their faces off as usual.

All 3 levels of governments in Canada (here I exclude Derek Corrigan, Mayor of Burnaby who really cares about the people of Burnaby) and the sad state Canada has been forced into by the gangsters who rule all three levels of government and the amount of debt they have purposely created makes it impossible to 'balance the budget'.

For Mulcair to recruit the likes of Thompson says it all about where Mulcair is coming from and that is to hit the taxpayers again to pay the debts created by the mobsters and he needs to go back to the liberals where he came from. There is nothing honorable about these destroyers of Canada.

These terrible two make no mention of the government pigs at the trough to lower their wages to the average wage paid to all Canadian workers, including the minimum wage earners and the not temporary foreign scabs...no mention of taking away these gangsters platinum pension plans and to receive the same government pensions we get and only to be paid at age 65 or whatever the gang leader in Ottawa decides the new retirement age to be like age 67...no mention of holidays the same as the average Canadian worker gets, 2 weeks for the first five years, 3 weeks for the next 10 years, take away all the perks that the average worker does not receive and so on. This would go a long way to 'balancing the budget'.

It would be interesting to hear Mulcair say what year they plan to balance the budget when we can't even pay the interest on their huge debts so it would likely be hundreds of years after these two are dead and buried....no mention of hitting on the corporations to repay the debts they have been the recipients of and only saying they would again hit on the middle class people of Canada.

The way I see it is all these government scumbags are working for the NWO/bankster gangsters and the corrupt corporate take-over of Canada.

Four more years of the same old, same old if we even live that long.

Jean

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2435367521078186829.post-15772761647031911952015-08-19T06:28:11.295-07:002015-08-19T06:28:11.295-07:00Oh, they're smart enough--surely, and doing ex...Oh, they're smart enough--surely, and doing exactly what the ruling elite require of their political puppets if they want to get their turn stuffing their snouts in the public trough.

Canada’s New Democrats seek to bolster right-wing economic credentials
By Roger Jordan
19 August 2015

New Democratic Party (NDP) leader Thomas Mulcair used the unveiling of one of the party’s star candidates at a press conference in Toronto on Friday to advance a reactionary, right-wing economic agenda, making clear that an NDP government would be based on “fiscal responsibility” and a balanced budget.

Mulcair visited the riding of Eglinton-Lawrence, currently held by Conservative finance minister Joe Oliver. He announced that the NDP had recruited former Saskatchewan finance minister Andrew Thompson to challenge current federal finance minister Joe Oliver on October 19.

Mulcair introduced Thompson by criticizing the Conservatives from the right. “The NDP’s Andrew Thompson offers the people of Eglinton-Lawrence something that Joe Oliver hasn’t: a record of balanced budgets,” Mulcair declared.

Right on cue, Thompson gave an interview to the Ottawa Citizen on Monday in which he advanced the NDP as a safe pair of hands for the ruling elite in the deepening economic crisis. “Tom Mulcair has been in government; he knows what those tough choices are like. I have been in government; I know what those tough choices are like. There’s no sense in promising pie-in-the-sky types of policies if they can’t be implemented,” he declared.

http://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2015/08/19/cana-a19.htmlJon Ghunnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2435367521078186829.post-13683058868980324122015-08-18T20:03:01.720-07:002015-08-18T20:03:01.720-07:00Jon, maybe they're just smart enough to recogn...Jon, maybe they're just smart enough to recognize that they're not capable of fixing the mess that Harper would leave behind. They are willfully standing-down once more.

What you always fail to do is go that extra mile and ask why? Why don't you try on the possibility that they are controlled opposition and see where it leads you. The following incomplete thought, for example, needs to be re-examined and not just left hanging in the air: "The radical Conspiracy Theory that Thomas Mulcair is in the NATO/U.S./Israel loop moving towards World Government by Global Fascist Private Corporations seems impossible to credit…"

'Seems impossible' to who?
